Friends again

He came over today…it was different than before. I don’t cry anymore. We can just have fun. We should have broken up months ago! We can finally lay in bed and talk like friends. He tells me about all the errands he needs to run. He tells me stories from when he was in college. I like him more every day, but I’m not necessarily in love with him. We can finally have actual conversations. This is what I wanted. Besides, the sex is great.

Glad to hear it! The idea of you all alone, and not getting laid to boot, was awfully sad. I knew there was a reason I woke up in a good mood this morning, and I hadn’t even read your post yet. 😉
I have the same relationship with my ex right now. Seems like we get along better not being in a “committed relationship”. I’m very busy myself which frustrated her and things went bad after a while, but after not seeing each other for a couple weeks we ended up trying hanging out as friends and is going great. Sex is great too 🙂
We all get something we need or want in a relationship or we would not be there.
Looks like you both have found your niche so congratulations.
‘Getting back with the ex’ relationships are often the most rewarding and healthy with incredible freshness and energy as the pressure is then lowered and folks can settle in to be Real. To be human.
All with the added benefit of having prior knowledge of just exactly what the other partner desires.
